The ex-showroom price of the Renault Triber facelift is Rs. 5.76 lakh. A revised front, bumper, slimmer head and tail lamps, more ground clearance, and redesigned alloys were among the several aesthetic upgrades it received. Although its mechanical design is unaltered, innovations like reverse parking camera, LED instrument console, and steering-mounted controls can make it more driver-friendly.

With the 2025 facelift, Renault India attempts to strengthen the Triber’s appeal by updating its design, enhancing features, and improving practicality. But does it deliver enough to make buyers choose it over more expensive rivals? We took the new Triber out for a drive to find out.

Renault Triber 2025: Price and Variants

The updated Renault Triber starts at ₹5.76 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable MPV in its class. The top-spec variant is priced at ₹8.12 lakh for the manual and ₹8.59 lakh for the AMT version. We tested the top-end Emotion trim, which, despite missing features like automatic climate control and ventilated seats, still feels like solid value for money.

Exterior Design: Does the 2025 Triber Look the Part?

First impressions matter, and the 2025 Triber certainly looks fresh. The new sculpted bonnet, revised bumpers, and sleeker LED headlamps give it a more modern face. The redesigned front fascia, combined with dual-tone paint, enhances its street presence and visually lowers the roofline. The Triber now appears more premium than several of its direct competitors.

At the rear, subtle tweaks such as smoked LED tail lamps and bold “TRIBER” lettering modernize its appearance. The new alloy-style wheel covers and blacked-out ORVMs with integrated indicators complete the updated profile.

Interior and Cabin Experience

Step inside, and the facelifted Triber greets you with a light, airy cabin. The dual-tone beige and grey dashboard, reworked steering wheel, and digital instrument cluster elevate the in-cabin experience. The layout feels well-organized and intuitive for daily use.

The 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system is responsive and features vibrant graphics. The digital driver’s display (MID) provides useful information, although its animations can feel slightly gimmicky. Essential controls such as traction control, parking sensor toggle, and defogger are neatly placed below the screen for easy access.

Renault has also improved practicality. There are multiple storage spaces—a cooled glove box, deep cubbyholes, and a wireless charging slot in the center console. Second-row seats can be adjusted in four directions and split 60:40, while the third row can be removed entirely to expand the boot to a massive 625 liters.

Driving Experience and Performance

Under the hood, the Triber continues with its 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine producing 71 hp. In city conditions, it feels peppy when driven lightly. However, with a full load of passengers, performance takes a noticeable dip—overtaking requires planning and patience.

That said, the Triber impresses with its light steering at low speeds and confident feedback as speed builds. It’s easy to maneuver in traffic yet stable enough on open roads. The suspension does a commendable job of absorbing bumps, though at higher speeds the MPV feels slightly floaty during quick lane changes.

The braking performance is adequate but could be sharper, especially on models equipped with 14-inch wheels. The 15-inch setup on higher variants offers better grip and stability.

Comfort and Practicality

As a compact MPV, comfort is key. The seats could use more cushioning, especially for longer journeys, but short drives are comfortable enough for all occupants. During our city test with a full cabin—and even a full-sized guitar in the boot—the Triber maintained composure and space without complaints from passengers.

Areas for Improvement

Despite the upgrades, there are areas where Renault could have done better. The absence of USB-C charging ports and a rear armrest for second-row passengers is disappointing. The driver’s footwell lacks a dead pedal, making long drives slightly tiring.

Some controls, such as the cruise control and traction control toggles, are placed inconveniently. The hood release and headlamp leveller switches are too low to reach comfortably, and at lower speeds, a gear whine can be heard. These are small ergonomic quirks but noticeable in daily use.
